Not the west but definitely worth the mention for people with kids and families looking for something to do over the holidays.
The Abbotsford Convent is a great place to head out exploring with lots of cafés, bars, restaurants and even the old woodfire bakery still in use which cooks up a great feed.
Also located right next door is the Collingwood Childrens farm which will keep the kids entertained for hours. With weekend markets you can also pick up fresh produce at a low cost.
Entry to the Abbotsford Convent is free however the Childrens farm is $10 for Adults $20 family of 4 and $5 for kids.
Parking is available onsite for $2 an hr.
