Every part of the world have their own culture and traditional belief use as the foundation for building their own structural society. By following the structural rules in their society, they believe it create and maintain a good and stable society for the people, so as to create protection to the people in the society, in a form we call conservation or tradition. These group of people are called the Conservatives.

Likewise there have been some time in history that someone or group of people have bring innovative ideas to their society, either economically, socially, religiously and technically. These in the form that we call liberation, they believe we should do away with any conservative belief or tradition that doesn't allow us to be more productive and civilized. They believe that no cultural or believe is perfect, that time changes and we people should change with it in order to move forward as a society or a nation. These group of people call themselves the Liberals.

It has become well know to us that many times, this two sides have come head to head in debates that involves which sides is more helpful in the growth of the society. In my own opinion I'll say both sides should try to see things from their counter part point of view. It has become a common or a popular narrative in where I come from Nigeria, that when ever anything goes wrong socially in the nation, the conservative group if I may say majority of the older generation blame civilization as the root of the social problems we face in the country.

They'll say that civilization is taking away their cultural practice even though most of the time these practices does not contribute to the society or is not applicable to today's society. I am not saying we should forget our ancestors, we should always give them their due respect for laying a good foundation for the next generation but what am trying to say is that we should try to understand that these practices was created based on their own perspective of life and we should know that times changes.

Like I always say and will keep on saying, no culture is perfect because most knowledge or beliefs of the past most time doesn't necessarily seat well with today's society due to the growth in knowledge, development of the society and also changes in prejudice beliefs. So, being conservative should not make us stupid and barbaric. We should try to accept new ideas and do away with unproductive conservative beliefs.

The liberals also should not say because there are some parts in our culture or conservative practices and beliefs that are not acceptable in today's society we should do away with our tradition. The truth is that actually there is nothing wrong in those beliefs or practices. It is just that there is differences in ideology and perspective of life. We also owe it to our forefathers for their efforts to create a structural society even though it doesn't work in today era.

Also we beings a liberal should not makes us do somethings that are not productive or are destructive. We should not just accept any ideas that are unconventional or immoral because it is new.

My message is that we can't be too conservative or too liberal. But we can be reasonable and find what is beneficiary for us as a person and for the society.
