What are you up to Daddy?
I looked up from my cheap old Chromebook. It was essentially made of plastic straws and bits of string but still got the job done. As long as the job wasn't arduous and you weren't in a hurry that is.
I'm counting my coins.
I shrilled somewhat manically.
Your magic internet coins?
She smirked.
Yes, my magic internet coins which at present are worth more than your paltry life woman.
I sniffed haughtily before turning back to the ever changing numbers on my screen.
The numbers scrolled past my eyes like luminous maggots spilling out of a bloated corpse. I grinned manically. She had no idea.
Coin! Coin!!
I cackled, sounding a little like the mummy in that Scooby Doo episode.
I couldn't help it. The current green frenzy in the markets was making me demented. The moon was beckoning. For so long it had just seemed to hang there like an unattainable orb in the sky.
No more though. It was within touching distance! The moon... The moon!!
The moon?
Enquired the good lady. She had her trademarked watch out, Daddy gone bonker face on. I must have been mumbling out loud.
Ahem, yes. the moon.
What about the moon dear Daddy?
We're going there.
I replied tersely. Goddang it, should I sell my Ripple? Should I even fess up to owning Ripple? What if people knew I owned the banker's coin? Would they shun me in the street? Would they throw mud pies at me and shout rude names?
Yes, I would sell my Ripple, for too long it had been an albatross around my neck.
I noticed the good lady still standing there beside me. She had crossed her arms. Darn it, couldn't she see I was busy? Hadn't she noticed I was in full on trader mode? Now, what about Verge? Should I sell that? Maybe just half, yes that's what...
Can we breathe on the moon Daddy?
Interrupted the good lady rudely.
Errm, well no. Obviously.
Is the moon made of cheese Daddy? Can we eat it?
Hmm, no, of course not.
Well, the moon can bloody wait. It's the little lady's bedtime and it's your turn.
Ah, bedtime. Looks like the Moon will have to wait for another day.
