Today I want to share some pictures of New York City that I took while I was traveling around the United States. I took a bus from Philadelphia to New York City. The bus trip costed me just a few dolars, at most $5, and lasted two hours or so. If you check Megabus's website out often, you can find many tickets for $1. I bought my tickets from Las Vegas to Los Angelas, and from Los Angelas to San Francisco for $3. I was pretty lucky actually. If you take a megabus from Philadelphia to anywhere some day, keep in mind that Megabus has 2 stops in Philadelphia, you should always go to the main one which is next to the train station, if you do not want to have any trouble with overbooking.

New York City might seem huge and pretty confusing but lucky us, they have a good subway system there. You can get anywhere you want by subway and I suggest you to take a subway if you want to go somewhere far. The traffic problem is horrible in NYC. No one can deal with it and if you want to see the main tourist attractions in NYC, you just need to walk, it is way better. Times Square is not a huge and special place, but it is crowded all the time. You can find many fun stuffs around it.

You just need to walk for 10 minutes to get to Central Park from Times Square. Central Park is my favorite place in NYC. You can forget about everything once you enter the park. It is an amazing and huge park in the middle of NYC. It is really huge, it might take two hours to walk from beginning to end but definitely worth it. After you walk from beginning to end, you can take a subway to go back.

Even most of people think Statue of Liberty is in NYC, Liberty Island that is hosting Statue of Liberty is surrounded by waters of Jersey City, New Jersey. So Statue of Liberty is located in New Jersey, but still most of people claim that it is in New York State. I was staying at my friend's place in Jersey City, so it was not hard to get to the island for me. You have to take a ferry from Battery Park in NYC which costs around $20.

To be honest, the view of NYC from Liberty Island is better than Statue of Liberty for me.
