Today I want to show you some pictures of Lisbon that I took during my trip in Portugal. I took a train to Lisbon from Madrid. Since I had my interrail global pass ticket, I did not pay anything apart from booking fee. The average price of a train ticket from Madrid to Lisbon is $80, and the trip takes 12 hours or so. It was my second longest train trip. The first one was from Sofia, Bulgaria to Belgrade, Serbia and was over 12 hours. After I arrived in Lisbon, I changed my train, went to Sintra and came back in the evening.

Lisbon is not a big city, so most of tourist attractions are close to city center. You do not need to walk much, but there are many hills in Lisbon that may make you feel tired. Once you feel tired, take a tram and enjoy your time in those classic vehicles. If you choose walking around Lisbon, it has some surprises for you such as sweet and narrow streets that like Barcelona has and some pretty street arts.

The Belem Tower might be one of the most known tourist attractions in Lisbon. It's a little bit far from the city center but tram number 15E is going there. You also can reach there by foot, and it might take an hour and 30 minutes or so. It is definitely worth to go there. It was built in 1515 to guard the Lisbon Hardbor but now is welcoming many tourists every day and is on the UNESCO World Heritages.

You may know that Portugal is also famous with its Ginjinha. Ginjinha is a kind of liqueur that is made of sour cherry. It is really delicious! I do recommend you to try at least once! You will see many places that serve Ginjinha and there is also really famous and old place around the city center called A Ginjinha. I was staying with a local in Lisbon, and my friend took me to another place. It was so pretty, cozy and the liqueur was so good.
