I'll admit it. I know less about cryptocurrencies than most anything else in this world. Which puts me at a vast disadvantage in investing in crypto, keeping up with the projects on Hive (and before that on Steem) or even knowing what others are talking about when I check out a random post about any number of the crypo's or exchanges or how these coins actually are used to build sites or projects or anything.
which is why I am banning myself from investing in anything crypto-related (safe for maybe Bitcoin...maybe) I use to trade bitcoin on my Robinhood app but until they provide keys for the coins I've stop trading crypto on that platform. I'm not even sure I could transfer crypto on RH without first selling and then rebuying elsewhere...
until I can better understand the risks and rewards of investing in these coins. The crypto world seems too huge a concept at this moment (for me at least) I have not even a clue as to where to even begin or who to trust. (with bank info to fund my trading)
At the very least I know not to follow the hype of any kind of trading, including the stock market, which is why it's hard to find a trusted source of information for the who, what, where ect.. of crypto trading. This is why I also think I should conduct the majority of my self guided research separate from any online community, at least until I am able to confidently compare arguments and speculation with my own findings and understandings.
So what can I do until such time? well, I can earn Hive by being involved and engaging in the Hive community. That's at least something. I can find crypto information here as a guide to start my own research and perhaps pass along any finding I find useful or interesting. If I was a part of any social media I could promote Hive but I've all but abandoned the mainstream social platforms.
