It's been a long time since I posted in this community full of beautiful things. But I had a good reason to sit down and paint on one of those rocks I have at home filling a bag.
This rock I picked up over a year ago. I plucked it from its bed in the Cuyaguateje River the last time we bathed in its waters. It was also the last time we were enjoying those adventures with a part of the family that is no longer in Cuba. At that time we had no idea that it would be the last time, so I remember it with this mixture of feelings.
But to what matters now...the rock. Since Monday a cousin of my husband is visiting here, he returns on Sunday and it seemed appropriate and timely to send my sister-in-law a rock of that day, decorated and full of many feelings. So I set to work.
On a previous occasion, before they left, I gave her a small rock painted red (her favorite color) as a charm. I talked about that in a post I shared with you, so this one will be purple, her second favorite color.
I will paint green leaves on it, symbol of the nature that surrounds her place of origin, also as a symbol of hope.
And she will definitely wear flowers....flowers can't miss
I will complete the decoration with colored dots drawing circular patterns, to represent the order that there will be, in this chaos that is now our reality. And also as a token of everyone's connection, which although far away, is still intact.
I hope that this rock of kindness full of much symbolism and loaded with feelings reaches the hands of its recipient and transmits all that I have put in it.
Espa帽ol - Est谩 aqu铆
As铆 que puse manos la obra.
