Hello fellow Steemians,
I chose to introduce myself through presenting some of my favourite pieces of Street Art. Art in its many forms is a big part of my life. I am a musician, amateur photographer and once a director (!!) and I find it easy to express my feelings through Art.
I had the opportunity to live and work in London for the past 4 years of my life and this is a small collection of Street Art that I stumbled upon. I browsed through my collection to find the best pieces and share them with you. The quality of my pictures might not be the best (good old iphone) but they get the point across.
Found in Brick Lane
This a mixture of two of my favourite compositions. I love the flurry of colours and the antithesis between the two pieces of art.
Apart from the beautiful colours I love the fact that this piece actually serves as the sign with information about this shop!
Another beautiful design that colours the shutters and gives an idea of what the shop behind them is about..
Found in Shoreditch
I love the use of vertical and horizontal lines.
Self explanatory piece with a dose of irony.
I really see it as a portrayal of some deity. Extra comment on top...
Found in Bethnal Green
Apart from the teeth it is quite open for interpretation. I loved how it blended under a bridge by the river.
Found in Camden
Not of the best quality mural but it depicts one of my favourite artists. RIP Amy Winehouse.
I hope that you enjoyed this exhibition and got a glimpse of the amazing art that can be found around the streets of London.
Thanks a lot!!
PS: Not bad for a first amateur post eh? :)
