Over the weekend, I paid a visit to a town here in Ghana. It was a place I had never imagined existed until I arrived. Life seems to be quite strange there, since there are several factors that made life extremely tough for me. Even though it was tough to live there, I tried as hard as I could to survive and cope. The experience of staying here is indescribable. However, it is noteworthy to note that the individuals leaving here are used to the procedure and hence do not encounter any difficulties.
The name of the town I visited is Akyem Ntrubo. It is located in Ghana's Oti region. This settlement is built on top of a mountain. It was tough to make my way through the forest to the town since there was no trace of human settlement along the route. I spent around three hours in the jungle with two other men before arriving. We were inspired to trek into the forest despite the fact that there was no human population along the route.
We attempted all we could to reach individuals, but finding network connection was another issue. Living in a world without electricity and internet access is tough for some of us to bear in this day and age. But then there's this place where everyone lives blissfully and without remorse. True, happiness comes from inside.
Along the trip, we saw these youngsters playing at this location, which was just a few kilometers from town. It is assumed that the youngsters come here to play every day when they come to get some water from the nearby running river. Traveling to town was challenging since we were all fatigued, but it was well worth it in the end. I'm sharing this with all of my readers as a way of thanking them for their participation in our voyage. Happy weekend and merry Christmas to all hivesters.
