Do I really have a creative process? I may have, probably not have thought of it as a creative process. That may be because I have not been into writing before. But I believe everyone is a writer, as long as they have something to write about.
Most of my post here in hive, is simply inspire by some contest organise by a community here in hive, or pouring out The knowledge of my culture or herbs that I know about. I have read interesting novels and I have also read interesting post over here in hive. My major challenge is the language most times. The choice of words, the style of writing to glue my readers to the post and blog have been my challenge. That is where I think I have been deliberate to invoke my creativity in. How do I go about that?
Conversation and humor is a very good magnet to keep readers to your post and blog. At some point while writing, I just take a pause and invoke some creativity into my post to include some humor that really transcend the reality of every day happening in our society. But then, how do you go about your writing?
Nothing much, all I need is my stomach to filled with food: Pounded yam, egusi soup, and chilled hollandia yoghurt is a bonus to keep the creativity process up and doing. All I do is pick my phone, login to hive, go to my wall and allow the cursor to pop out, then I start writing what ever thing that comes to my mind regarding the prompt or what am writing about. At two occasions, I try writing on paper, but that seems to be tasking to me, and it slow down my creative process. Writing online seems to make the ideas come at ease. Sometimes, I don't even have the idea of what to write about, but immediately am online and the Cursor pop up and I start typing, the idea begins to flow.
After am through with the typing, I go through the write up again, checking for typing errors, and make the necessary corrections that is needed. But while doing the corrections, I don't add or remove the ideas I had originally written, because if I start doing that, I may end up deleting the whole post.
That is my creative process in hive.
