It has never been easier than this period for people to want to immigrate to another countries. People are beginning to abandon that sentiment of "this is my mother land" and embrace " this is a better land for me". The economic situation in the country is so bad. Insecurity everywhere, and the violations of human right, corruption and many other vices. The world is a global village, where people can easily gather information around the world and see there is opportunities for a better life elsewhere than Nigeria. thanks to social media and other technologies that allow people to learn and know the happening in other parts of the world without them being there physically. All these factors have aided immigration.

Do I want to immigrate: for now, no. That is because I believe I can have good life here in Nigeria without me immigrating. Immigrating details moving your family and yourself to another country to live permanent. I have never seen myself leaving this country to go stay in another country permanently. I can travel to any country for vacations or for leisure but not to stay permanently.

How do i feel about life in a different country: I think it will be challenging , the weather may be different, which I need to adapt to. The food may be something totally different from what am used to. The culture may be the direct opposite of what is obtainable here in Nigeria. All these will pose a challenge that I may need to overcome. But all these will be fascinating and eye opening to me. One thing travelling add to one, is open mindedness. When you travel to different places, you will see culture that are totally opposite of yours and you may be culture shock. When you are leaving Nigeria to another, there is this feeling that you wont be treated equal with their citizens. That may be true, but even here in Nigeria, people are not treated equally.

Would leaving Nigeria makes me happy?: leaving Nigeria may not necessarily make me happy. But what I will be expecting to gain in another country , will be what may make me happy to leave Nigeria. For example, there may be expectations for better remuneration for service provided over there. Or the security over there may be better. For these reason, leaving Nigeria may make one happy.

Why is living in Nigeria so hard for me?: Nigeria at this point in time is not just save. The insecurity is too much, the political tension from all region is so high. The economy is hitting everyone so bad and the policies of government to businesses are not just favorable at all. With all these, it makes the country so hard to live in. For these immigration come to people's mind.

What will make people cancel their immigration plan?: when many thing start working properly. Like better remuneration for workers. Good economic policies that will help both small and big businesses to thrive well. Better Protection of life and properties of the citizens by the government. Protection of the human right by the government. Peace and unity of the regions of the country. With these, and many more in place, people will see not need to immigrate to another countries.
