Hello friends, today I want to introduce you to this cute little dog that I met at Christmas, her name is Princesa and she is one of my brother's pets, the same brother who has a pet ocelot too.
Princesa is five years old, she is the last survivor of her family. Princesa's grandmother lasted with my brother for about 10 years and her mom died of an illness when she was 6 years old, now Princess is the only one left of her family. She is a very brave little dog but she always has a sad look on her face.
Hola amigos, hoy quiero presentarles a esta linda perrita que conocí en navidad, ella se llama Princesa y es una de las mascotas de mi hermano, el mismo hermano que tiene un ocelote de mascota también.
Princesa tiene cinco años, ella es la última sobreviviente de su familia. La abuela de princesa duró con mi hermano alrededor de 10 años y su mamá murió de una enfermedad a los 6 años, ahora princesa es la única que queda de su familia, es una perrita muy valiente pero siempre tiene una mirada triste.
An anecdote I want to share with you about Princesa is that she fell from that roof where you see her lying in the picture above.
This roof has a height of approximately 9 meters, according to what my brother told me is that there was a loose tile and she stepped on it and slipped, but she is a lucky dog because her fall was cushioned by some small bushes around the house and she survived. However she still climbs up to the roof to sleep in the afternoons, I honestly don't know if she is brave or masochistic.
Una anécdota que les quiero compartir de Princesa, es que ella se cayó de ese techo donde la ven echada en la foto de arriba.
Este techo tiene una altura de aproximadamente 9 metros, según lo que me contó mi hermano es que había una teja floja y ella la pisó y se resbalo, pero es una perrita con buena suerte porque su caída la amortiguó unos pequeños arbustos que hay alrededor de la casa y sobrevivió. Sin embargo ella sigue subiendo al techo a dormir por las tardes, honestamente no se si es valiente o masoquista
But not only did she survive that fall, she also survived an attack by Silvestre. When Silvestre arrives at my brother's house, he was just a kitten smaller than Princessa and grew up with her. Now, he is bigger than she is and was put in a cage so he wouldn't hurt people.
Like all wild animals, he forgot Princessa but she still looks for him to play with him. One day my brother took Silvestre out to wash his cage and left him tied near the cage, but he didn't realize that Princesa was nearby and when she saw him she approached him and maybe tried to greet him and play with him like in the old days, bad idea!
Silvestre jumped and grabbed her neck with his jaws, when Princesa screamed my brother ran to get her out of Silvestre's mouth, although my brother reacted fast and rescued her, she was already hurt, but once again she was lucky! The vet after checking her only saw superficial wounds, although Silvestre buried his fangs in her mouth he didn't manage to hurt her much. Once again she survived!
Pero no solo sobrevivió a esa caída, ella también sobrevivió a un ataque de Silvestre. Cuando Silvestre llega a casa de mi hermano, era apenas un gatito más pequeño que Princessa y creció junto a ella. Ahora, el es más grande que ella y fue puesto en una jaula para que no le hiciera daño a las personas.
Como todo animal salvaje, él olvidó a Princesa pero ella aún lo sigue buscando para jugar. Un día mi hermano sacó a Silvestre para lavar su jaula y lo dejó amarrado cerca de la jaula, pero no se dió cuenta que Princesa estaba cerca y al verlo se aproximó a él y quizá intentó saludarlo y jugar con el como en los viejos tiempos, mala idea!
Silvestre saltó y la sujeto del cuello con sus mandíbulas, cuando Princesa gritó mi hermano corrió a sacarla de la boca de Silvestre, aunque mi hermano reaccionó rápido ya la rescató, ya la perrita estaba herida, pero una vez más tuvo suerte! El veterinario después de checarla solo vió heridas superficiales, aunque silvestre le enterró los colmillos no logró hacerle mucho daño. Una vez más sobrevivió!
One thing princess really likes to do is get into my dad's car every time he goes out. She likes to go for a ride, she doesn't mind lying on the back seat or on the driver's lap, she is happy just being in the car.
Una cosa que le gusta mucho a princesa es meterse al carro de mi papá cada vez que él va a salir. Le gusta pasear y no le importa ir en el mueble trasero o en las piernas del conductor, ella es feliz solo estando dentro de un carro.
