I forgot to include in this post how my current stocks have performed that I bought about 6 months ago. It was only $2000 worth but I bought in two companies with great fundamentals (ANZ and Woolworths). I bought both at the time that the market took an impressive dive. For a while I was up $200 - $300 but as of right now I am in profit by about $50 or so. Subtract fees from that if I chose to sell now and I would be left with about $20 - $30 profit. These aren't shares that I would sell though. I'll hold for the long term and reinvest the dividends. I don't doubt that they will perform well in the long term and will probably top them up until I have about $10k of each.
