there is a feeling that cannot be expressed in words when seeing this building. I still remember it and it is very clear in my memory that memory is reopened by the existence of this building. when a dream that is not achieved because of a choice and doesn't life have to choose with the existing priority scale. This building is a memory of my past, exactly 20 years ago in 2024 when I had just graduated from high school and wanted to continue to university. I really wanted to enter this university but there were many things that caused me to change my course and change my university at that time.
Although in the end I did not end up studying at this university, I had the opportunity to look for information about lectures with great enthusiasm at the Student Center of the University of North Sumatra. One of the best universities in my province of North Sumatra with many of the best departments and the best graduates. I had the opportunity to take an exam here. I really remember it very well. But now I am back in this building with my status that can stand tall, no longer a prospective student at this university.
and it's been 20 years since I returned to this building with my status as the Principal where I am now and I was specially invited to attend a national seminar specifically for principals and the location is in this student arena. and I still want to remember it once again by looking for my seat and I still remember very well where my seat was. because nothing has changed in this place even the decoration of the paint color and all the knick-knacks in this student arena are still the same and I smile about this. in my heart I say 'I'm back here with my achievements'. thank you for being part of my life journey in my ideals even though I was not destined to be at this university.
It was still too early and I purposely came early so that I could reminisce to my heart's content. A large yard, an old banyan tree and this is where I once ate my lunch while taking shelter and memorizing some formulas.. I wanted to laugh remembering that. From the outside, the shape of this student arena is not too big, it even looks ordinary, but who would have thought that this building could accommodate more than 500 guests. From the front, this building was made and designed using natural stone. The main building is made of natural stone with a plain pattern and silver color, while the wall next to it uses natural stone with ivory color.
Entering stepping into a stage with a projector screen there waiting for the resource person to come to give his knowledge and I seemed to see myself attending a public lecture there. Enjoying every inch of the room without the slightest change in color and seat model I began to focus on attending this seminar and increasing my insight and meeting new people who of course have the same vision and mission when attending this seminar and applying the knowledge gained later in my school.
are you the same as me. there is an old memory that is hard to forget in a place Where that place changed your future today and made you better. and I'm sure everyone has a place that holds many memories there.
