‎An ordinary day, a memory to cherish…
‎
‎My day started wonderfully well because Mr. Sun was out! 😊 No rains so I had to wash our clothes and hang them up to dry upstairs.
‎

‎
‎I really love these sunny mornings because we had been having rains for the past few days. Sometimes, even if you want to, you can’t do the laundry because of the weather! So whenever it’s a nice weather outside, I always try to do as much as I could before the rains come again, and hopefully, the clothes will get dried up perfectly until the next day. Anyway, at lunchtime, I had to prepare something for our hungry tummies.
‎

‎
‎I decided to cook fried chicken and some boiled sweet potato leaves. 😊 Yep, that’s all! I really love to cook this kind of dish because it’s simple yet very nutritious and super delicious! You know for the boiled leaves, I often make toyomansi (combination of soy sauce and calamansi). And then the fried chicken was served with a ketchup.
‎
‎I don’t know why but my hubby and I just absolutely love meals of this kind. It doesn’t require fancy-table-mat-and-many-dishes kind of thing, but it keeps us satisfied and happy 😊 Just the simplicity of cooking and sharing homecooked meals with loved ones and the joy that comes with it, the combination of the crispy chicken and some fresh boiled greens just excites us so much! 🤤
‎
‎Anyway, it was time to eat! But then again, the lunch hour has flown so fast, and the sun was already setting when a delivery came with a surprise item that the kids got.
‎Yup! It was the squishy toy I bought them! 🤗 Ryzen was telling me he wants a new orange toy for a while now.
‎

‎
‎Honestly, I told him that if he continues getting excellent marks, I would get him something as a little treat. He kept on telling me all through the previous days that he’s been having a good time in school, and then he reminded me of the orange toy he likes, so mom kept her word! Hehe
‎
‎So I let him pick the toy he likes online, and of course,
‎I also allowed his little sibling, Aiden to choose something for himself too!
‎
‎I just wanted both of them to have something they like. Seeing the smile on Ryzen’s face was enough to fill my heart.
‎
‎He told me, “I love you, mommy!” 🥹 And really it’s one of the beautiful things that made me fall even more in love with being a mother. It somehow makes you more eager to strive to give them everything you think is worthy. I’m glad he’s happy with his ‘little treat’ and I hope he continues to try his best in class. 😊
‎
‎But more importantly, the good values he learns along the way. 😊
‎Any way, I went upstairs in the afternoon to get the clothes I hung to dry that morning, but then I took a moment to look up at the sky and realized that the moon came out already! The cuteness of the moon up there is just something different 😊
‎It was super tiny but you can see how far it was. But of course, its shape was very distinct that I saw it clearly! 🤩
‎

‎
‎It’s the only moon-shaped thing I could see in the sky that caught my attention! The clouds outside were also beautiful that day. I captured some pictures then and honestly, it’s a thing to behold that I just had to share a separate post just for them 😊
