Days with a sick child begin differently.
The house feels quieter and our priorities shifted.
These are the ordinary snapshots that make up our simple, imperfect life.
And I'm grateful I noticed them.

Ryzen Felt Hot
We woke up noticing our little Ryzen wasn't his usual playful self. Instead of running around or reaching for his toys, he lay down, quiet and weak. My hubby noticed it right away... And when he touched Ryzen, he felt hot. A fever made us worry that morning. I was supposed to volunteer at the Kingdom Hall that day, but I cancelled. Being present for a sick child is my priority.

My Breakfast
I had my breakfast. It was a simple pancit paired with bread spread and peanut butter, and a cup of milk coffee. Of course, I eat the pancit with a splash of vinegar. My hubby took charge of watching over the kids so I could eat my breakfast properly.

A Warm Soup By Lunchtime
By lunchtime, Ryzen became extra clingy, holding on to his mommy as if letting go would make things worse. I couldn't move around much, so my hubby took charge of the kitchen. Since Ryzen wasn't feeling well, my hubby cooked ginger fish soup. Perfect for someone with a fever. I was relieved when Ryzen ate and enjoyed the soup, even just a little... it eased my worries.

Went Upstairs
In the afternoon, we went upstairs to breathe some fresh air and watch the sunset. Ryzen and Aiden played with their LEGO, building and imagining together. It was a beautiful bonding moment! ❤️💗

And that's it.
As the day ended, I realized how comforting it is to face challenges as a team..
My hubby and I take turns, understanding each other's needs and walking this journey together.
And that's more than enough.
The ones I'll always be grateful for, because we learn how to love, serve, and support our family.
Until my next everyday snapshots...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
