On Day 10 of my pechay planting journey, I finally started transplanting some of the seedlings.
Seeing them grow stronger each day truly makes my heart happy.
It feels so rewarding.
But that day also came with a surprise I didn't anticipate.
I planted a lot of pechay. 🥹
Like... really a lot!
Now I'm facing a problem.
I don't have enough pots or space to transfer them all.
I walk around, searching for any unused pots.
One by one, I gathered everything I could find.
Some were dusty, but all were still useful.
I placed them in a line, filled each one with soil, then slowly transferred the pechay seedlings into their new homes.
As I'm done, I realized there were still so many waiting for their turn. 🫣
Should I plant some directly into the soil instead, even if chickens might get into them?
Or should I give some to my mother-in-law so they won't go to waste?
Honestly, I don't want any of them to die after growing this far.
Each little plant is already a small success.
So yeah...
This experience on day 10 taught me something important about gardening...
That planning space is just as important as planting seeds.
For now, I'm leaning toward sharing some and planting a few in the ground.
At least this way, nothing is wasted...
And the joy of growing spreads to others too.
This day 10 brought challenges, but it's actually a beautiful problem.
Because having "too many plants" also brought gratitude.
