Hello dear Hivers!! 🌷
Yesterday afternoon, after sipping my warm herbal cup of tea and before starting to cook our dinner, I looked outside our front yard. Indeed, it was a mess! Being a cloudy afternoon, with no heavy rains or blazing hot sun, I think it was a good time for us to do some gardening.
Due to the recent rains, our plants have grown rapidly, creeping all over the place, making our yard look more messy.
Let's all work together as I tidy this up, little by little.
First, I need to cut some unnecessary large branches
After cutting these big branches, I noticed some plants tucked beneath the twigs and leaves; our dragon fruit and guava plants. They seem to be growing well. I hope to have fruits from them in no time.
Next, I went on trimming the overgrown carabao grass
, and I swept what I have trimmed using our traditional stick broom. Carabao grasses have grown so very fast; I am so glad I have them because they prevent our yard from having muddy patches after the rains.
Moving on the other side of our yard, I found some other small plants growing vigorously; we didn't plant them, maybe the carabao grasses grew wild, and in the process, some seeds fell.
By then, I felt so glad because it was all coming down. After trimming all the unwanted twigs and leaves, I gathered all that I have trimmed, brought it at the back corner, and left it to dry. We later burned them.
Looking back on the front yard, it was all clean; almost nothing of what it had been before. My lovely kids helped me clean the garden. After we were done, they went ahead and played with the neighbour's kids. It was all such a pleasant job for all of us. 🥰
How nice to see our front yard tidy after all those incessant rains
. Do you also do some yard cleaning?
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day ahead. Buh-bye 💗🌸
