Hello, everybody!
Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of celebrating our friends' 24th wedding anniversary.
They invited us for dinner, and we're truly honored that they chose to share their special celebration with us.
They said that they had been planning to celebrate it last year, but circumstances didn't allow that to happen.
So this year, they decided to push through.
They prepare delicious dishes, including spaghetti, palabok, lumpia, bicol express, etc.
We truly enjoyed the food.
As there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, it was tempting to try everything.
But I personally preferred sticking with rice.
One of the highlights for me was the mechado.
It was flavorful, tender, and had a hint of spice that I didn't notice at first.
I kept giving baby Aiden some of it, thinking he'd enjoy it as much as I did.
But soon, as I saw his face turn red, and he was asking for water, that's when I realized it was spicier than I thought. 🤦🏼♀️
I had mistaken the spice level for the Bicol Express, which was also present at my plate.
Despite it being spicy, everything was still okay.
It's just Baby Aiden decided not to continue eating after that. 🥺
Then my cousin invited us to play a fun card game called Sequence.
The goal of it was pretty simple. It's to create a sequence of five cards in a row, whether horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
We were six players divided into three teams.
While playing, the competition was quite lively. It was intense and everyone was strategizing and trying to outsmart each other.
But guess who ended up winning? Yep, that's right, it was us!!! 😆 (Apakayabaaang)
It was a slightly competitive match, so it was fun.
After that, we enjoyed some dessert including slices of cake and some ice cream.
It was truly a joyful moment.
We headed home not just with a satisfied tummy but with a good laugh.
Until our next memorable celebration...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
