Queridos amigos de #Holos-Lotus.

Como escritora cubana, siempre he creído que la literatura no solo es un ejercicio de creatividad, es también una puerta abierta hacia la comprensión de realidades diversas como géneros literarios hay, tan diversas como diversos son los pensamientos de la humanidad. Recientemente, tuve la oportunidad de asistir a la Feria del Libro en Las Tunas, un evento que reunió a escritores, lectores y gestores en un espacio maravilloso.

La Feria del Libro ha sido siempre un lugar donde las letras son vida; hay siempre un tejido de identidades. Es lindo ver reunidos a escritores de varias provincias del país en cualquier esquina, escuchar diálogos en distintos tonos y acentos, y eso me lleva a reflexionar sobre el valor de la diversidad en la amistad.

En Cuba, la cultura está marcada por la mezcla de varias influencias; es notable que las amistades forman un tejido que nos enriquece a todos. Desde donde cada uno aporta la belleza de lo que es.

Allí me encontré con viejos amigos y nuevas caras. Sus brazos nos rodearon y nos recordaron que las amistades no solo se basan en similitudes, sino que prosperan en la aceptación de las diferencias.

Hablando con el poeta Diusmel Machado, descubrí sus luchas y aspiraciones; eso enriquece su obra. Es una historia distinta a la mía, pero resonó en mí porque la conexión unida por el amor a la literatura, se convierte en un puente hacia nuestro mundo difícil, diverso, pero conectado por las palabras que se tuercen en mil gargantas.

A medida que conversaba con otros escritores, como Yasmanis Rodríguez o Jorge García, me hice consciente de que cada uno trae consigo una percepción única de la realidad o de su realidad. Las diferencias de opinión, de historia y de experiencia hicieron que tuviéramos un diálogo en verdad transformador.

En medio de la feria, los jóvenes poetas compartimos nuestros versos. A pesar de los distintos orígenes, y la identidad de nuestras voces, se celebró la pluralidad de la experiencia humana. He disfrutado de sentir el poder de la amistad, es siempre una invitación a expandir nuestros horizontes en la poesía, en la vida.

Hay una diferencia enorme entre cada uno de nosotros, de edad, género literario que cultivamos, lugares de residencia, pero las amistades, cuando están fundamentadas en la diversidad, nos ofrecen oportunidades para crecer. Nos invitan a cuestionar nuestras creencias y a aprender de aquellos que tienen historias diferentes. Ellos me recuerdan que la amistad no tiene que ser homogénea. Por el contrario, es en la diversidad donde encontramos la riqueza de las conexiones humanas. En las presentaciones de libros, por ejemplo, pudimos disfrutar del estilo de presentación de cada escritor. Hubo quienes presentaron de manera formal y hubo quienes como Poe Cid y Yadián Carbonel usaron un performance poético para deleitarnos con su gracia, haciendo que todos compraran los libros.

La feria es siempre una señal clara y tangible de que, a pesar de las diferencias entre escritores, el amor por la literatura y la búsqueda de la verdad, nuestras luchas como cubanos nos unen. Las historias de ferias o eventos pasados vuelven a resonar entre nosotros.

A lo largo de este encuentro entre amigos tomé conciencia de que la diversidad nos enseña a escuchar y a ser empáticos, a abrazar la complejidad de la vida.

Hoy regresé a casa con una nueva apreciación por mis amigos. Cada uno, desde su sito, desde su perspectiva, desde su poética o cualquier manifestación del arte que cultive, me aporta una perspectiva valiosa.

El acto de hacer amigos en un mundo diverso es uno de los mayores actos de valentía porque no siempre estamos de acuerdo. En cada Feria del Libro hay no solo historias en los libros, que compro o me regalan o traigo para mis niños, sino que cargo también con historias en las miradas de mis amigos, las que me cuentan, las que intuyo. Esa diversidad me transforma y me vuelve más humana, más conectada.

Cada libro que traje a casa es un trozo de mis amigos, de su historia que bien puede ser la mía.

As a Cuban writer, I have always believed that literature is not only an exercise of creativity, it is also an open door towards the understanding of diverse realities as literary genres, as diverse as diverse are the thoughts of humanity.Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Book Fair in Las Tunas, an event that brought together writers, readers and managers in a wonderful space.

The book fair has always been a place where letters are life;There is always a fabric of identities.It is nice to see writers from several provinces of the country gathered in any corner, listening to dialogues in different tones and accents, and that leads me to reflect on the value of diversity in friendship.

In Cuba, culture is marked by the mixture of several influences;It is remarkable that friendships form a fabric that enriches us all.From where each one contributes the beauty of what it is.

There I met old friends and new faces.His arms surrounded us and reminded us that friendships are not only based on similarities, but also prosper in the acceptance of differences.

Speaking to the poet Diusmel Machado, I discovered his struggles and aspirations;That enriches his work.It is a story other than mine, but resonated in me because the connection linked by the love of literature becomes a bridge to our difficult, diverse world, but connected by the words that are twisted in a thousand throats.

There is a huge difference between each of us, of age, literary genre that we cultivate, places of residence, but friendships, when they are based on diversity, offer us opportunities to grow.They invite us to question our beliefs and learn from those who have different stories.They remind me that friendship does not have to be homogeneous.On the contrary, it is in diversity where we find the richness of human connections.In book presentations, for example, we were able to enjoy the presentation style of each writer.There were those who presented formally and there were those who, like Poe Cid and Yadián Carbonel, used a poetic performance to delight us with their grace, causing everyone to buy the books.

The fair is always a clear and tangible sign that, despite the differences between writers, the love for literature and the search for truth, our struggles like Cubans unite us.The stories of fairs or past events resonate among us.

Throughout this encounter between friends I became aware that diversity teaches us to listen and be empathic, to embrace the complexity of life.

Today I returned home with a new appreciation for my friends.Each, from his site, from his perspective, from his poetics or any manifestation of the art he cultivates, gives me a valuable perspective.

The act of making friends in a diverse world is one of the greatest acts of courage because we do not always agree.In each book Fair there are not only stories in the books, which I buy or give me or bring me for my children, but also with stories in the looks of my friends, which tell me, the ones I intuit.That diversity transforms me and makes me more human, more connected.

Every book I brought home is a piece of my friends, in its story that may well be mine.
