When we are children and although this sounds cliché we are fragile, we are a work in constant construction and as such, our bases will be the most important thing, because it is what will sustain our whole structure in the future and always, we will be a work that will be under construction. At the beginning our tutors will be the ones who will make those bases, until we reach the point where we will be the ones who continue building ourselves.

Let us imagine ourselves as a building and each year of life is a floor, the bases are already there: values, upbringing, experiences, experiences, treatment, etc. and this list can be long and can also be the antonym. The second floors are our childhood, for some they will be very nice, clean, spacious and illuminated; for others on the contrary they will be dark, with debris, dirty, full of pain. But these second floors are not our responsibility.

And with this I don't want to hurt susceptibilities, or create discord or rancor, or make you remember situations that you may want to forget. I am not the owner of the absolute truth, I simply speak from my experience. And that's my point, and even though I can tell you that when I remember my childhood I think of happiness, when the time came to continue building, some floors I made very beautiful and others full of chaos; moreover, in some I hosted people who arrived, looted and destroyed. In other floors I was my own looter and collaborated with the others. And then thinking in retrospect I ask myself these questions: Why, if I was happy as a child, does this happen? Could the abandonment of my biological mother have had an influence? I honestly don't know, maybe it did.

As I mentioned in my introductory post, I am 48 years old (48 floors) and I am still building, amen. And I have had to go down to check the others, and I confess, sometimes I pass by the emergency stairs so I don't even have to see them, other times I have been brave enough to go in one by one, some days I arrive and clean, others I arrive and continue to make a mess and sometimes I go up with debris from those floors and accumulate it (very badly done). I have also met wonderful people who have come down with me and helped me clean and tidy up and it has been wonderful.

And one day it was my turn to forge the foundations of other people (my children), from my worst floors, and although their foundations are good, their second floors are not so good. And I sat down with them and poured my heart out to them and they understood that there was and was not responsibility on my part. And now they, in the best version of me, are trying to make their buildings beautiful, warm and bright.

Get a broom and go down to those floors of your building that you closed, play good music, bring incense, flowers and beautify them. Do not become a hoarder, throw away what is useless, what is broken, ugly, worn out, keep what is beautiful, order it; so that when you return to visit them, they will fill you with happiness. Invite the people you consider worthy of being in that sacred place. And if at this moment you are building someone's foundation, do it with great care and dedication, remember that those floors will always be there for them, fill them with photos and good memories.

Let's not get absorbed in seeing other people's buildings, each one is particular and personal and ours is no less. You keep on building yours, which is also beautiful. In the end, that is where we will live as long as we are on this plane and we deserve it to be the best.
