Here is my new digital art.
Today, I tried making a still life drawing and this time, I opted for a single object.
It is a moderate size soap dish with a cover. I sprayed it on a ground and observed from one angle.
I started with outline sketches of the object before using squiggles and hatching to add shades.
After that, I proceeded in using blurring to add more shades and made one side of the background to look darker.
This shows that light is coming from the southwest.
The sketch was done with AutoDesk sketchbook application and aided with an S-pen. My steps can be seen below:
