Hello everyone!
Today, I want to share with you my new artwork for Drawlloween challenge day 1 with the theme "Ghost".
I am a big fan of horror movies, especially that of ghost and vampire. I enjoy watching them at night where everywhere is silent. A little clatter from outside the compound could make you shiver!
The work depicts a ghost carrying a lantern with its invisible right hand. Only the cloth can be seen surrounding the lantern's handle.
I am yet to decipher the difference between a ghost and a spirit. Is there any real difference?
The drawing was done with a blue and red ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper and I used cross hatching technique to create this piece. My steps are below:
I started out with an outline sketch
Then I stared adding shades on the cloth which is the darker part of the work
Then, I sketched the lantern and shaded it adding red ink
I worked on the remaining part of the cloth where there is high light
And finally, a few touches on the background
