The hike was about a 9 mile round trip, with lots of steep hills and challenging terrain. This is one of the most strenuous hikes on the east coast, but the spectacular views make it worth the effort! Here is a photo of her scrambling up the last bit before the summit:
As you can tell from her smile, we had an incredible time getting great exercise and soaking up the spectacular Virginian scenery!
