Once again, I have successfully found a very unique spider that is one of the main inhabitants of my plantation. In the past, I was mistaken about this spider because I thought it was a jumping spider. Fortunately, one of my friends on Hive explained more about this spider to me.This is an Oxyopes spider, a kind of lynx spider. Thank you so much, my friend @miosha , for the information you have shared with me.
This spider has long legs covered with tiny spines, which are very useful for helping it catch and grip its prey. I often find this spider on plants or wild grasses.Although this spider produces silk, it does not build webs to trap its prey. Instead, it actively hunts by stalking its prey and then leaping toward it. It is a very aggressive hunter!
This spider has a creamy and pale yellowish-transparent base color, with two reddish-orange longitudinal stripes on the top of its head. I managed to capture the beauty of this spider while it was perched on a wooden board. This is also a type of spider that is very active during the daytime, so if we are curious about it, we can start looking for it in the morning and continue until the afternoon.
Alright my friends, now I am going to share some pictures of this spider here.
