Fox broadcaster is now joining the crypto and NFT bandwagon by supporting Dan Harmon's animated project Krapopolis which will be “the first-ever animated series curated entirely on the Blockchain”.
Along side of debuting the animated series Fox intends to create NFTs, from gifs and curation of the animated series for viewers to purchase. Basically start a digital market for all digital goods related to Krapopolis.
For those unfamiliar with Mr. Harmon he created the hit series Community and Rick and Morty.
It will be interesting to see how well this series will be once it rolls out. The NFT market for sports have fired up with a lot of fan fare so I would not be surprise if Mr. Harmon's animated series does the same. Since it is the first to do what it is doing I believe it will be a hit no matter what. Just think a century from now in mankind's history collectibles of the first ever media NFTs. This will mark a time in history in the foray of cryptocurrency and its adoption.
Broadcasting Media in 2020 for the US had a revenue of over $100 billion. Across the globe over $400 billion. If there is potential growth in demand for crypto and NFTs beyond just the internet and tech giants it will be in television. Businesswire reported in 2020 that television reaches the most amount of audience at 84% while social media at 55% and video streaming at 27%. The digital age is still being adopted by many but television is already an establish entity. Fox using the television platform to spread crypto and NFTs is a huge plus for the crypto community.
