Hi all Hive Users,
In today's life style many of us are shriving to earn more money and assets in order to feel satisfy in our lives. All our labor and time put into earning more allow us the opportunity to spend more. However acquiring material assets does not always lead us to happier lives. In fact often than not by pursing more purchasing power we take on more responsibilities and sometimes overburden ourselves just for the sake of obtaining more.
More Does Not Lead To More Happiness
Purchasing a luxury car for the thrill of owning the latest technology has to offer and show off among my peers may initially feed the desire to work harder. I may get the sanctification and the end of all this, but it all comes with more obligations. Obligations that are a burden to me for owning an expensive car such as in paying luxury taxes and higher insurance premiums. In turn this requires me to spend my time trying to earn more to pay off the obligations.
Yet looking at the opposite end if I do not own the luxury car I am not obligated to spend my time working to earn and pay off the fees. Instead I have the time to choose what I want to do what I want. Whether it is to pursuit a life long goal or just doing something I choose to do because I have the option to do so. This is why having less allows me more options to choose what to own or do with my life.
It goes without saying this applies to all and everything that we do in life. What we spend our energy and time to obtain is different for everyone. Yet it will make life easier and happier if we spend it on things that do not force us with additional obligations we are not intending to want. The less we have the more life we get to live.
Thanks for spending the time reading my post and let me know what do you all think?
