Hey, hivers, I'm back! 👋🏾

Lately, we’ve been mixing digital and analog photography. To some, it might not make sense, but it’s an incredible experience to work with earlier technologies—notice I didn’t say "old." The dynamic shifts when you have to carefully consider every shot, thinking harder about whether the result will match your vision. But the magic truly happens in the darkroom during development. That’s what hooked me—or at least, that’s how it happened for me.

We recently wrapped up the Analog Anthropological Photography Workshop, taught by Lebanese photographer Halim Ina at ISA (Higher Institute of Art). I’ll admit, this was my second time—the first was in 2023—and trust me, every moment feels entirely new. This year, we had the chance to hit the streets with the instructors, observe their approach to medium format, and shoot some 35mm frames. Today, I’m sharing a few of my results. They might not be perfect—I’m still refining my manual focus and technique—but I’m thrilled with how they turned out.

I just hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Hola, hivers, acá estamos de regreso 👋🏾

Últimamente hemos estado mezclando un poco la fotografía digital y la analógica. Para muchos no tendrá sentido pero es una experiencia increíble experimentar las tecnologías anteriores, y fíjense que no dije "viejas". La dinámica cambia cuando tienes que cuidar cada disparo, lo piensas más pensando en si el resultado es lo que esperas, pero el final es mágico a la hora de revelar. Eso es lo que atrapa o por lo menos fue lo que me sucedió.

Recientemente culminamos el taller de Fotografía Antropológica Analógica, impartido por el fotógrafo libanés Halim Ina en el ISA. Tengo que decir que es mi segunda vez, la primera fue en el 2023 y créanme que cada momento es diferente. Este año tuvimos la oportunidad de salir con los profesores, ver su forma de trabajar el formato medio y hacer algunas imágenes con 35mm. Hoy les voy a compartir algunos resultados de lo que hice. No serán los mejores, aún falta dominar un poco de técnica, mejorar ése enfoque manual, pero aún así estoy feliz con el resultado. Sólo espero que ustedes lo disfruten tanto como yo.
