14th November, this day is celebrated as children’s day in India. 14th November is the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India. Nehru loved children very much and that’ why this day is referred as children’s day in every year. He was very much careful towards children. Children used to call him as “Chacha Nehru”. This day is observed giving honour to Nehru and various cultural activities are held in school level institutes. Competitions like art, games are organized by the clubs and other different social organizations. Prominent persons are invited to encourage the children as they are the future of our country.
