Not all children have the same ability in understanding each lesson, there is a child who is blessed with intelligence so it is very easy for him to understand the lesson, some have to study more so that they can understand. And there are also children who are very difficult to understand each lesson being taught.
Therefore, it is necessary for teachers and parents to direct their child who has a disorder or difficulty understanding the lesson. Teachers and parents must know in advance what type of disorder owned by children, then find a way to overcome it.
What is a learning disorder
Learning disability can be obtained by anyone, will become more severe if the learning disorder is accepted by the child who has below-average intelligence. Learning disabilities can affect students' brainpower to receive, process, analyze, and store information. So that it can slow down the child's process of academic development.
Causes of Learning disorder.
This condition can be caused by several factors, I group learning disabilities into two factors, namely:
Internal factors
Internal factors that cause difficulties in learning comes from within the student. Like health, vision, and hearing, which led to the concentration of their learning becomes low.External Factors
This is a factor that comes from outside, such as learning conditions that are not conducive such as being noisy in class, poor family conditions thus triggering the concentration of children in learning, and also a heavy learning burden.
How to deal with a Learning Disorder.
Based on the analysis and factors I wrote above, we can find ways to address learning disorders in students. That is :
- The sitting position.
If students are experiencing learning difficulties and disabilities caused by their vision and hearing conditions are a bit bad, then the teacher should tell them to sit in the front row so that students clearly hear and see every detail of the learning process.
Build a Fun Atmosphere.
The atmosphere of a conducive study room is every student's dream, it will be easier to receive lessons. This atmosphere can include room design, comfortable inside conditions, and not noisy.Motivation from Parents at Home
Parents are the first teacher a child has when children experience difficulties and learning disorders, then parents should provide intrinsic or extrinsic enthusiasm so that children get satisfying learning outcomes.
