The Tokay Gecko got its name from the noise they make during mating, it sounds kind of like tokay. These lizards have light blue scales, rarely found in lizards, and orange dots covering their bodies. In Japanese lizard translates toトカゲ, prononced as Tokage, sounds similar to the name of this species, however they are not related.
