A little over a month ago, I wrote a story about a sandstorm on Mars that could possibly doom NASA's long working rover, Opportunity. Read past article HERE
But since that time, things have gotten worse-- MUCH WORSE -- for the little Walle looking robot rover. It seems the planet is still engulfed by the monster sandstorm and NASA scientists have no idea how long it will last or if Opportunity can possibly survive. In the end, it may be buried in several feet of sand, never to be seen again.
NASA made a video of the before and after views of Mars in just a four day time span. And the difference is quite stunning. If something like that were to happen here, it most likely would be the end of life on this planet as we know it... and we might never recover from something so drastic.
