In this post we will discuss rounding numbers. We need to round the numbers when we want an estimate of a measurement or a quantity. For example; a room is 11x19 its area can easily be rounded to 10x20 which is 200 square units. The idea is to round up or down to the nearest tens, hundreds or thousands.
Recently I did a post on rounding but that didn’t contain links to all of the worksheets and lessons. Now I plan to post grade specific worksheets and will do most of the 2nd grade topics in a row. So, today I am giving links to all the basic lessons and worksheets on rounding numbers to nearest thousand. Tomorrow I will give some multiple choice worksheets on rounding numbers.
