... is indeed white. Here are some shots from my passage in Labrador City this past October. Yes, October.
While it was Fall everywhere, Lab City was engulfed in snow. Apparently, they don't have this much snow at this time of the year. I'm not sure I believe that. It was minus 25 Celcius when we were there, snow blowing in every direction.
Labrador City is the most isolated place I've been. There's nothing around. It's a mining town. One of the richest iron soils in the world.
But of course, even in the most remote Canadian town, there's a Tim Horton. Our dear Canadian coffee shop. I think any Canadian resident has access to a Tim Horton within a 5 minutes drive from their home!
I wouldn't want to have to shovel an airport runway!
And apparently, no architects or designers live in Labrador City as every single building have that look. I'm exaggerating a little, recent building have a little more style but definitely, everything older was built for its convenience and not for looks and profits.
Also, if you look closely... staff parking is right by the door! Too bad for customers, walk in the wind and snow if you want your money!
Stay tuned, I have more pictures coming soon!
What's the most remote place you've visited?
