Evolution
I think human evolution will arise from the universal acknowledgement of the difference between the two worlds we live in, the physical and the cerebral. Sure we know of these worlds academically, cerebrally, but for the distinction to be lived.
Physical
We exist in physical bodies and have explored our physicality quite well through sport. In the olympics we have tested how fast we can run, how high we can jump and in other sports we also introduce the mind like football, tennis, Golf etc. Maybe we will be able to move physically cerebrally.
Cerebral
By this I mean the invention of words, an abstraction of the physical world. The creation of languages and the subsequent mental pursuits: philosophy, literature, science, technology, religion etc.
Indeed it is in these two worlds that we exist and will evolve, but perhaps there is a third world we aren't yet aware of. As I have said many times the world of thought is as real as the physical world. Science today is understanding so much more about the physical world and suggests we will soon be able to travel time.
