With all of the attention on libre, voice, and the price of bitcoin, a different crisis regarding the future of the blockchain has gone unnoticed. Less than 5% of crypto programmers identify as women. An analysis of the top 100 blockchain projects on Github reveals that only 4.64% of the contributors were female.

In my opinion, this really affects the integrity of any blockchain. Crypto for me represents decentralization, liberty, and control over our financial institutions. How can we say that blockchain is the future if itβs missing input from half of the population?
We have a great opportunity here to really pave a new future - an inclusive and equal opportunity future. Letβs change the dynamic because right now it looks a lot like the new boss is the same as the old boss.
