Monday morning was as bright as the beautiful faces of the Kuba dwellers. Andy dressed up in his work attire to his place of work. He works from 8AM to 4PM. He is a very honest man who works diligently for his boss. Andy is always going to work as early as 7AM in order to arrive at his place of work which is a distance of 8 kilometers from his community. His community members know whenever he's off to work because he's already in his uniform.
His colleague Mr Ikechi doubts his sincerity and hates Andy for his competence and commitment to work. One day, after all the hustle and bustle of the day, being part of the financial department of Alexian Textile Industry counted the total sum of 2,000,000NGN they made from the day sales. Lehift it in their office drawer in the custody of Mr Ikechi as the financial manager of the company.
Next day, Andy left home for the office, on his way to the office . He got a call from Mr Ikechi.
"Hello, Andy, boss said you should come and meet me at Zuko junction. He instructed me to take the money home yesterday after you left, then hand it over to you in the morning to deposit in the bank" Ikechi said.
"I don't even know Zuko to start with,you know fully well,I don't know many places in this area. Why not help me do the deposit" Andy questioned
" Am only doing what oga instructed," Ikechi said.
Andy diverted and boarded a taxi heading to the location Ikechi told him. Unknown to him that Ikechi had arranged men to kidnap him, without any suspicion,he saw an available taxi and entered without an awareness it's a planned work.
After two hour drive, Andy began to wonder why they hadn't reached Zuko. He tried reaching Ikechi but his number was already off. The kidnappers noticed he was being restless,they blindfolded him and took him to a very thick forest, in a community far away from where they picked him.
After they dropped him in the forest,they did exactly what Mr Ikechi instructed them to do,the criminals collected Andy's phone,put a call across to their chief planner Mr Ikechi, he instructed them to hand over the phone to Andy.
In louder speaker, Ikechi began to speak
"Andy my frenemy,I just felt you should know me immediately without stressing your brain trying to guess.hahaha!! Andy, Andy, the mighty warrior, the most intelligent of all, the ever knowing. You feel you are overall best but this will be the saddest news of your life because today is your dead end. You will be lost in a forest where animals will eat you up and nobody will locate you. No one shows intelligence where I am supposed to rule." Mr Ikechi ranted.
Before Andy could say a word,he hung up the phone.
Andy having known he was set up starting pleading with the criminals to tamper justice with mercy,the criminals who had in mind to kill Andy just as Ikechi had instructed changed their minds in unison, rampzack him, took some valuable things he had leaving him with his phone as it was not that a very fancy model,tied his legs, tortured him mercilessly and left him in forest and took off.
Being totally lost in the forest, Andy began running Helter Skelter in the forest, looking for any means to see a house or a nearby community.
After running helplessly inside the bush for almost a whole day, he burst out of a community he totally knew nothing about. Everyone that saw him was afraid to have a word with him because of how tattered he was.
"This looks like Andy from Kuba Community" . The young lady by name Ada asked.
" Yes, I am Andy. This is you Ada, what are you doing in this community".
Andy asks, still surprised he has seen someone he knows, and together happy he knows someone that can help him get back to his village .
"This is my grandmother's village, I do visit her during summer holiday". Ada said.
He narrated everything to Ada. She took pity on him,took him to her grandmother's house,and provided him with shelter and food.
BACK TO ANDY'S OFFICE
All workers were thinking Andy had fled with their master's 2,000,000.
Their master who was still silently awaiting whenever he set his eyes on Andy. Everywhere was hitting hotty for Andy's visit to office as they have clouded their minds with the thought he made away with office funds.
After spending days with Ada, he decided to go back. He went straight to his place of work. The first person to see him was his boss Mr Anderson. After first he wanted to be harsh on him but seeing the look on Andy's face made his attitude change.
He invited him to his office where Andy narrated everything to Mr Anderson, due to the settings of his phone, whenever he answers a call,it records automatically. So, all the time Ikechi called him,he had all the conversations recorded on his cell phone. He played the recorded voice of Ikechi while speaking to him on how to deposit money and also the second call where he was telling him how the criminals will end his life in an unknown forest.
After Mr Anderson heard all that, he called for a meeting with all his staff including Andy. He asked Ikechi to confess his evil plot against Andy but he claimed he knew nothing about the false allegations.
After the evidence was brought to light, he agreed he did all of that. He confessed how he was jealous of his colleague Andy. How Andy's presence in the company makes him look like a lost sheep in the midst of genius.
"You did not just behave childish , this act is an act of hatred and jealousy. You betrayed your colleagues and tried to see him killed. This is not a matter to be taken lightly, it will be taken up by the officers of the law. Mr Anderson said.

He picked up his phone, called the police. While they were awaiting the Police arrival, Andy was promoted to the level of a financial manager position. Just a few minutes after the celebration of his promotion, the police arrived at the office, handcuffed Ikechi and drove him away.
