Hi Hivers~
Today I share with you one of my favorites drawings because I'm feeling that I'm improving my traditional art, mainly with regard to the application of color. I have a lot to learn but I'm happy too hehe.
Hope you like it, I put effort in this one because I really felt bad the day before yesterday when I was drawing 😅.
Steps by steps
Let's see the process.
Before of all, this drawing is inspired in @makeup.byely, specifically in one of her introduction's photos (I asked her permission before I drew it 🌟).
Reference photo
I started with the sketch with a soft pencil. Have to mention that my sketch looked more similar to the original photo, but I'm not complaining with result. The drawing has a frame around recreating as if it was a photo.
Then I started coloring, I used poster paint. I have to buy finer brushes oooor improve my technique 10000% (my pulse is a shame haha) and my brushes are very disheveled.
In this step I mixed red, yellow and white to obtain skin tone (more white than red and a little touch of yellow, to experiment). I was looking for a very pink tone because I wanted something not too real, and original photo has about that tone.
I added more elements, with the hair was very experimental, in original she has like a red tone so I wanted to recreate that with my style. Used red for the ends of the hair, in the middle red with brown and at roots of the hair were brown and blue to make it darker. I don't have black so you can do it with black too, but blue gives a nice touch. The same with her eyebrows (brown+blue).
For her t-shirt I used diluted green with white and for "white lines" blue with a lot of white. Shadows on her clothes were with a bright green pencil. And for skin's shadows I used poster paints, adding more red than skin tone.
Lineart with colored pencils, for the body I used orange and black for eyebrows. For the t-shirt the same green of shadows. I think my drawings look better outlining them with colors than just black 🎨.
Here I wanted to show you how look eyes before and after adding details with colored pencils. I started with the eye and then with the makeup. Added more hair-face details too, I couldn't create the same fuchsia of her lipstick with my current painting so I coloured more red-purple. This step look funny too hehe.
Ta-da!
I finished with light details with white poster paint. And final touches ✨.

I used Snapseed for editions.

Hola Hivers~
Paso a Paso
Y toques finales ✨.
