I had to choose this specific topic to write on as it reflects to my past actions and decisions I took as an habit while I was still in my marriage. I was a lovely respectful and loyal wife to my ex-husband until the day I went through his phone and discovered allot of immorality he was doing ,before I discovered that he was flirting with lots different ladies, I have always tried to engaged my husband with conversations as couple should always have a conversation and plan ahead, my ex-husband was not the type for me. The only thing I got to hear from my ex-husband as a conversation was,, thank you, the food is nice, I'm on my way to work, take care of yourself. These are the words that comes out from my husband's mouth because I discovered he is not the talking type. To start with, He was the one that brought me to lagos immediately we got wedded at DELTA STATE. When its sunday and we have to go to church, he preferred I go to a different church and why he goes to his friend church. I was not finding the marriage sweet and comfortable for me, my ex husband was ashamed to walk on the street with me , and when it comes to having intimate rights to each other, I'm always left unsatisfied. His earnings was very low as at then but I have never got to know the exact amount of salary my husband was earning. What ever he gives to me for the month to run the house, that will be the only money I got to see from my husband's salary And the money is never enough for me and my little kids. But I don't complain as I also have my own sources of income.
He kept on coming back home late and sometimes smelling of alcohol. Until one faithful day I discovered some messages on his Whatapp with romantic content from numerous fine girls. I copied some of the girls number to call them and beg them to stay away from my ex-husband. Few of them were kind to apologize and promise to stay off him, some of them never knew that my husband is even a married man, some of the ladies confessed that they are not in a relationship with him, it's just a sex and money relationship that they have in common and while some abuse me as well. I kept on fighting my ex-husband to stop cheating and spending money on different girls but he refused. To an extent when we have issue in the house,he will go and stay at his girlfriend apartment and be posting their both pictures on WhatsApp and that was so painful
Most nights my pillow are soaked with tears . He kept on doing this until I was unable to forgive him, so I decided to do as he his doing. I met a man on Facebook and start having a lovely conversation with him, not knowing that my ex husband have access to my Facebook account. Since i met this man on Facebook, i no longer feel my ex-husband absence anymore because someone has filled in the gap. My ex-husband was taking every single evidence of Me and my man friend chart, though he is not base in Nigeria but we talk naughty and exchange naughty pictures and have phone sex with each other and that was enough for me to make myself happy. But little did I knew that my ex-husband was taking every single evidence of me and my male friend. Hmm . I got trap by my ex-husband and I couldn't defend myself because there were lots of evidence on ground. This made us to go our separate ways up till date of which I regretted taking revenge on him. For in the site of God, a wise woman built her home and the foolish destroys her home. I should have been patient and forgive him, pray to God to change his ungodly ways . Instead I allowed my character of unforgiveness to destroy my home. It's takes a brave woman to realize her mistakes and go back to track. For my mistake has made me loose my marital home.
