—Pues hazle caso, hermanita.
—¿A dónde vas?
No hubo respuesta.

The Whisper of the Seashell
Greetings, friends who love literature. 💁☀️
Happy Tuesday to everyone.
Today I want to share a story with you that I hope you enjoy.
The Whisper of the Seashell
—Is your suitcase ready? —Carla asked her sister while putting some snacks in the trunk of the car.
—It has been ready for a while. Why are you in such a hurry? —Susan replied as she placed the last suitcase inside.
—I want to make the most of the whole day.
Once everything was ready, they set off on their journey. The sea breeze came through the car windows, filling the air with that salty scent Carla enjoyed so much. As they got closer to the coast, the sound of the waves grew louder.
—We’re here! —Carla exclaimed as she got out of the car.
The warm sand sank beneath their feet as the wind moved their hair and the strong waves crashed one after another along the shore.
—Looks like we’ll have to wait before swimming. The sea is a little angry. I’m going to get some sun. What about you?
—I’m going to do what I love most: look for seashells —Carla replied with a smile.
While Susan spread out the towel, Carla began walking along the shore. Ever since she was little, she had loved collecting seashells and always remembered what her grandmother used to tell her: that if she held one to her ear, she could hear the sound of the sea.
Among the wet sand, she found one much larger than the others she had seen that day.
—Look at this huge seashell I found —she said as she picked it up. She brushed away the sand covering it and slowly brought it to her ear.
—What are you doing? —Susan asked, laughing.
Carla listened to it for a few seconds. Her expression changed slightly and, still holding the seashell against her ear, she whispered:
—I think I heard a voice.
Susan burst out laughing.
—Then listen to it, little sister. Maybe it will tell you where to find a treasure.
Carla barely smiled and brought the seashell to her ear again. This time, she stopped smiling. She stood still, listening carefully, until she slowly lowered her hand and stared out at the sea.
Without saying a word, she began walking toward the shore. Susan watched her curiously, but as she saw her continue toward the water, her smile slowly disappeared.
—Where are you going?
There was no answer. The water was already covering Carla’s feet, yet she kept moving toward the waves as if she had not heard her sister.
—Carla!
Susan got up and ran toward the shore. There, in the sand, she found the seashell Carla had shown her moments earlier. She picked it up almost without thinking and, with trembling hands, slowly brought it to her ear.
And then she heard:
—Come… dive in. Down here, you’ll be able to hear me better.
