Saludos, amigos amantes del terror. ¡Feliz día para todos! 💁☀️

Me quedé inmóvil, observándolo.

—No me dolió tanto.

Story Time

Greetings, friends who love horror. Happy day to everyone!💁☀️

These days I have been feeling very nostalgic. I started looking through some old photo albums, and among the photographs and memories I had kept in my mind, some beautiful moments came back to me, along with others that, even today, leave me with a strange feeling whenever I remember them.

Today I want to share one of those memories with you. I hope you enjoy it and that it gives you a little chill.

Story Time👻

Ever since I was very young, I was fascinated by horror stories. The funny thing is that I was actually a very fearful child, but I still always wanted to hear them. I wasn't satisfied with children's stories that had happy endings; I preferred stories about witches, dark castles, and those tales where something unexpected and frightening could happen at the end.

Before going to sleep, I had a little routine that I loved. I would always ask my father to tell me a story. I would lie down with my head resting on his arm while he began telling me some kind of tale.

I must have been about eight years old when this happened.

Back then, power outages were frequent. That night, the electricity had been out since around six in the evening, and the house was covered in dimness, with only a candle or lamp providing a little light.

As usual, I was waiting for my story.

My mother took advantage of that moment to take care of some things around the house while I stayed with my father. He began telling me a story similar to Snow White, with a witch and that famous mirror.

But I wanted something more frightening.

I asked him to tell me a scary story, and he began changing the tale in his own way. He talked about a castle, a woman who approached an old mirror, and something strange that could appear in its reflection.

I was completely absorbed in his words.

My father reached the part where the woman approached the mirror.

—When the woman looked into the mirror…

At that moment, I looked up.

Right in front of us was an old mirror, the kind that had lost some of its shine over the years and whose glass always seemed slightly fogged. In the dimness, the reflection could barely be seen.

My eyes became fixed on that mirror. Little by little, something began to take shape in the reflection, as if the scene my father was describing were coming to life right in front of me.

At first, it looked like a shadow. Then, little by little, that shadow began to take the shape of a face.

I remained completely still, staring at it.

And when my father reached the most frightening part of the story, he made a surprised sound to scare me.

—Wow!

I looked toward the mirror again, and suddenly I felt as if my heart had stopped.

Whatever I had seen seemed to be moving outward. I can't explain exactly what it was. I only remember a strange, dark and distorted figure, as if something were trying to come out of that old mirror.

The fear was so great that I screamed.

And in my panic, I did something I still remember perfectly: instead of moving away from my father, I sank my teeth into his arm.

My father screamed too.

My mother came running into the room with a flashlight.

—What happened? Why are you both screaming?

Still frightened, I tried to explain what had happened.

—Mom, I got scared because I saw a bug in the mirror, and I bit Dad because I was frightened.

My mother looked at my father's arm and saw the mark the bite had left.

—Did it hurt? Look at your arm! Is that why you screamed too?

My father shook his head.

—It didn't hurt that much. I also saw something come out of the mirror.

To this day, I still don't really know what happened that night. I only know that, from that day on, my father never told me another horror story whenever the power went out.
