Sentirme glamorosa, sofisticada y elegante no es algo que ha estado en mí desde siempre. Como a las perlas, me ha tomado bastantes años salir de mi cáscara y brillar. Por eso cuando supe la temática glam de este mes, era la oportunidad perfecta para conectar con el brillo de mi esencia. Al empezar a buscar lo que quería, me vinieron recuerdos de niñez, como cuando me ponía los collares y zarcillos de perlas de mi abuela junto con sus guantes de satín. Allí supe que quería combinarlos con algo brillante y audaz, dándole un toque vintage, glam y chic a mi concepto.

I haven’t felt glamorous, sophisticated and elegant all the time. Like pearls, it has taken me a while to come out of my shell and shine. So when I learned about this month's glam theme, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to connect with the sparkle of my essence. As I started looking for what I wanted, memories of my childhood came to me, like when I wore my grandmother's pearl necklaces and earrings along with her satin gloves. That's when I knew I wanted to pair them with something bright and bold, giving a vintage, glam and chic touch to my concept.

Para lo vintage, escogí los accesorios que me recordaban a mi infancia. Con un moño trenzado, decidí destacarlos, y, además, darle a mi “outfit” un toque sofisticado. Tonos plateados y dorados en párpados, más perlitas a un costado de la mirada, brillo rosa y delineado de gato, fue el “make up” escogido para empezar a darle el toque moderno a mi look.

For the vintage touch, I chose accessories that reminded me of my childhood. With a braided high bun, I decided to highlight them, and also give my outfit a sophisticated touch. Silver and gold tones on the eyelids, plus pearls on the side of the eyes, bright pink lipstick and cat eyeliner, was the chosen make up to start giving a modern touch to my look.

En cuanto al vestuario, decidí usar algo muy versátil en la actualidad, que derrocha glamour y elegancia a la vez: el blazer.

As for the wardrobe, I decided to wear something very versatile nowadays, which is both glamorous and elegant at the same time: the blazer.

Me atreví a darle el protagonismo y drama a esta pieza gris “oversized” con líneas blancas y negras, usándola como minivestido. Fue todo un reto personal utilizarla así, pero desde que estoy aquí, intento convertir mis inseguridades en gasolina para seguir manejando mi vida con un poco más de osadía. Sin dejar el brillo y lo chic de lado, cerré el “outfit” con medias de red, y botines negros altos.

I dared to give protagonism to this oversized gray piece with black and white lines, using it as a mini dress. It was a personal challenge to use it like this, but since I'm here, I try to turn my insecurities into gasoline to continue managing my life with a little more boldness. Without leaving the glitz and chic aside, I closed the outfit with fishnet tights and high black booties.
