I can't really say how long it has been since I made a full body sketch, reason being that it takes twice as much time and I don't know... Time. I was to choose between two pictures but then the portrait was black and white and I don't really like to work with black and white pictures for coloured cartoons so I went with this.
It was harder than it envisaged and it certainly ought to be way better than this but.. I still love it.
I started with the hair, it took me about an hour to complete. I filled the base before drawing the strands at the edges to make it perfectly blend with it
I completed the hair after series of layers and I moved to fill the base
So yeah, three hours in and here we were, I had just completed - at least to a certain level - the head shading.
I used up almost two hours on the cloth! The pattern left me with no choice but to stroke and fill it shape by shape. It was extremely Exhausting. I seriously wished it was something plain.
From that point to this point, well, an additional one hour 30 minutes
The final output is what you saw up there. I modified the complexion though. It was looking a bit poorly saturated.
