[ESP-ENG] Como decorar una pared con platos / How to decorate a wall with dishes

Hola amigos de Hive diy! Hoy les traigo un tutorial de como reutilizar platos que tengamos en casa para adornar una pared, en casa teníamos varios platos de vajillas que se habían partido y platos viejos. Así que antes de botarlos, decidí decorar una pared con ellos, yo los coloqué en la pared de la sala, pero ustedes pueden decorar alguna pared su patio o la pared de la cocina.
Para este proyecto vamos a necesitar:
9 platos pueden combinar platos pequeños y grande. En mi caso, tenía la mayoría del mismo tamaño
Alambre
Tornillos para madera
Destornillador
3 tablas de madera de 99 Centímetros de largo por 10 cm de ancho
Pintura para pizarra o pueden usar la pintura mate que tengan
Taladro y mecha de 1/4 o 5/16
Silicón frio del que usamos para las puertas de baños
Retazos de madera o cartón piedra (yo tenía unos círculos de madera que habían quedado de un cuadro viejo de mi mamá)
Tachuelas doradas
martillo
Brocha.

Hello friends of Hive diy! Today I bring you a tutorial on how to reuse dishes that we have at home to decorate a wall, at home we had several dishes that had been broken and old dishes. So before throwing them away, I decided to decorate a wall with them, I put them on the living room wall, but you can decorate any wall of your patio or kitchen wall.
For this project we will need:
9 plates can combine small and large plates. In my case, I had most of the same size.
Wire
Wood screws
Screwdriver
3 wooden boards 99 centimeters long by 10 cm wide
Chalkboard paint or you can use whatever matte paint you have
1/4 or 5/16" or 5/16" drill and drill bit
Cold silicone like the kind we use for bathroom doors
Scraps of wood or papier-mâché (I had some wooden circles left over from an old painting of my mom's)
Gold tacks

Procedimiento

Vamos a lijar y pintas los tres listones de madera con la pintura de pizarra, yo le puse dos manos de pintura para que quedaran bien pintadas. Mientras se secaban los listones de madera procedí abrir los huecos en los círculos de mdf para que sirvan de soporte a los platos y poderlos colgar de manera segura. (Ver imágenes)

Procedure
We are going to sand and paint the three wooden slats with the slate paint, I put two coats of paint so that they were well painted. While the wooden slats were drying I proceeded to open the holes in the mdf circles to support the plates and hang them securely (See images).

Los huequitos se los abrí con el taladro con una mecha de 1/4.

The holes were opened with the drill with a 1/4" drill bit.

Ya tenía todos los huequitos en los círculos, quedaron así.

I already had all the holes in the circles, they looked like this.

Vamos a pegar cada uno de los círculos en parte de atrás de los platos, para ello vamos a utilizar el silicón colocando una buena cantidad para que queden bien pegados.

We are going to glue each one of the circles on the back of the plates, for this we are going to use the silicone placing a good amount so that they are well glued.

Vamos a eliminar el exceso de silicón de cada uno de los platos, para que nos quede un trabajo prolijo. (ver imagen)

We are going to remove the excess silicone from each one of the plates, so that we have a neat job (see image).

Dejamos secar el silicón. (ver imagen)

Let the silicone dry. (see image)

Luego, vamos a tomar unos 50 cm de alambre y doblamos a la mitad, dejando un agujero por donde pasará nuestro tornillo y comenzamos a enrollar el alambre y del otro extremo dejamos otro agujero. Después, ajustar dos tornillos a la parte de atrás de nuestros listones de madera, para sujetar el colgante en la pared. En caso de que tengan los colgadores que usan los cuadros pueden colocárselos con unos clavos. En mi caso, quería gastar lo menos posible y con el alambre y los tornillos lo podemos realizar se verán así. (Ver imágenes)

Then, we are going to take about 50 cm of wire and bend it in half, leaving a hole where our screw will go through and start winding the wire and from the other end we leave another hole. Then, adjust two screws to the back of our wooden slats, to attach the pendant to the wall. In case you have the hangers that the pictures use, you can attach them with some nails. In my case, I wanted to spend as little as possible and with the wire and screws we can make it will look like this (See pictures).

Colocamos cuatro tachuelas en los extremos de cada listón de madera, como un detalle. (ver imágenes)

We place four tacks on the ends of each wooden strip, as a detail (see images).

Una vez tengamos nuestro silicón seco y bien pegado en los platos procedemos a colocar los 3 tornillos en la parte de enfrente de los tres listones de madera negros y vamos a ubicar los platos según el diseño y combinando los colores. ¡Y listo! tenemos nuestra pared decorada. (Ver imágenes)

Once we have our silicone dry and well glued on the plates we proceed to place the 3 screws in front of the three black wooden strips and we will place the plates according to the design and combining the colors. And ready! we have our decorated wall (See images).

Como les dije al comienzo en todas las casas tenemos platos que nos han regalado o platos de la casa de la abuela, todas estas cosas podemos donarlas o dar una segunda oportunidad y realizar una bonita decoración con ellos. Lo importante, es que busques alguna inspiración y pongas mano a la obra con los materiales que tengas en casa.
