Another older shot from me today, this is a camera rotation shot, using a pano head adapted to rotate the camera and lens 360 degrees through the axis of the lens.
In this case the photo was framed up with a friend Kim, standing in the entrance of the C-Mine art installation in Genk, Brussels waving a torch around to illuminated the area I'm front of her and give it an almost iridescent feel to the front.
I then capped the lens and rotated the camera 180 degrees,then removed the lens cap again and allowed the second half of the scene to burn in.
If you look closely you can see the stones from the floor in the sky in and on the metal work on both halves of the frame as it’s technically a double exposure, and I was very lucky that the moon was just starting to peep through from behind the metal work when I started to shoot this and I felt it really added to the overall image, again I was going for a Sci-Fi book cover feel.
Taken in one continuous exposure, straight out of the camera jpeg, with no photoshop or lightroom used.
Settings used:
F5.6,ISO 3200, 17.2 seconds at 11mm
