Greetings everyone, and welcome to my blog. It is another wonderful opportunity to listen to the word of God through His servant, Bro. Eli Soriano.

Anyone who makes idols and puts their trust in them becomes like those idols—having ears but not hearing, and having eyes but not seeing. Even when such people hear the Word of God, they do not truly listen or obey it. The Bible explains this clearly: although they physically hear God’s Word, they do not respond to it with understanding or faith.

Psalm 115:4 says their idols are made of silver and gold, the work of human hands.
Verse 5 says they have mouths but cannot speak, eyes but cannot see.
Verse 6 says they have ears but cannot hear, and noses but cannot smell.
Verse 7 says they have hands but cannot feel, and feet but cannot walk; neither can they speak through their throats.
Verse 8 concludes that those who make these idols and trust in them become just like them.

In our generation, many people have become like their idols, which they call their gods. According to God’s Word, anyone who puts trust in idols becomes like them. Our generation has turned into a generation of idol worshippers, following religions that worship created things instead of the Creator.

Acts 17:29 reminds us that since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the Godhead is like gold, silver, or stone—formed by human skill and imagination. We should never believe that divine power exists in objects made by human hands.

The word “Godhead” is translated in other versions as “divinity.” God’s light does not shine on idol worshippers because the god of this world, Satan, has blinded them. Those who do not believe in the true God of the Bible are spiritually blinded by Satan, the enemy of God. That is why they cannot hear, understand, or obey God’s Word.

Thanks for reading.
