It's another great day to listen to the word of God by his servant Bro Eli Soriano.
A true Christian life is one that is rich and meaningful, and such a life is rooted in constant prayer. This means that a Christian should be someone who prays continually. Being prayerful is not optional for a believer; it is a core virtue that defines the Christian walk.
This leads us to an important question: as Christians, who are we expected to pray for? The Bible gives a clear answer in Matthew 5:44, where Jesus teaches, “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” This instruction shows that our prayers should not be limited only to those we love or agree with, but should also include those who oppose or mistreat us.
This scripture emphasizes that Christians are called to pray for everyone, regardless of their relationship with us. Whether they are friends, family members, or even enemies, our responsibility is to lift them up in prayer.
The Apostle Paul further supports this teaching in 1 Timothy 2:1–3, where he urges believers to offer supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving for all people. He specifically mentions leaders and those in authority, explaining that such prayers help promote a peaceful and orderly life characterized by godliness and integrity. Paul reminds us that this practice is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.
These scriptures together reinforce the truth that prayer should be extended to all people. Through prayer, Christians contribute to peace, moral living, and spiritual growth within society.
According, Bro. Eli has explained through the Scriptures, Christians must remain prayerful at all times, because prayer is one of our defining virtues. When we pray, we are called to pray for everyone including those who persecute us so that we may live lives marked by peace, godliness, and honesty.
