Greetings to the friends of the #throwbackthursday community, today I will be posting my #tbt on this site for the first time, as I learned of its existence through 
The presentation photo led me to search for the others because, although they are not from the same day, they are part of the same story.
The group photo is a souvenir of the graduation of the First Cultural Promoters Course in 2005, in the city of Florida, Cuba.

Out of an urgent need to preserve and promote our cultural traditions in neighborhoods and communities, this movement began, and we were selected as a group. At that time, we were involved in art in one way or another on a voluntary basis, and from then on, we were paid.
They became active and distributed us through Community Popular Councils, and we, in turn, dedicated ourselves to strengthening the Amateur Artists Movement in our area.
We attracted everyone who made even a moderately high-quality artistic expression. It was truly a moment of cultural excitement.
My job was the same but at the same time special: I worked with the Community of People with Disabilities.
I loved my work, especially the work designed for children with different physical conditions—those with visual impairments, physical and motor impairments, and the deaf and hard of hearing.

One post isn't enough to recount those wonderful experiences. It was a job that began as a volunteer before 2004, and even though I've retired, I can't shake it off.
For my lifelong dedication to preserving and promoting Cuban cultural traditions, the JUAN MARINELLO Cultural Research Center has awarded me the NATIONAL LIVING MEMORY AWARD.

But more important than the award are the friends I keep from that time, who now feel like family.

La foto de presentación me llevó a buscar las otras pues aunque no son del mismo día, si forman parte de la misma historia.
La foto grupal, es el recuerdo de la graduación del Primer Curso de Promotores Culturales en el año 2005, en la ciudad de Florida de Cuba.

Por necesidad imperiosa de preservar y promocionar nuestras tradiciones culturales en barrios y comunidades, se inicia ese movimiento y nos seleccionaron al grupo que en ese momento de una forma y otra nos encontrábamos vinculados al arte de manera voluntaria, a partir de ahí ,remunerado.
Se activaron y nos distribuyeron por Consejos Populares Comunitarios y nosotros a su vez, nos dedicamos a potenciar el Movimiento de Artistas Aficionados de nuestra area.
Todo el que hacía medianamente con calidad alguna manifestación artística lo captamos, fue realmente un buen momento de efervescencia cultural.
Mi trabajo era el mismo pero a la vez especial, trabajaba con la Comunidad de Personas en Situación de Discapacidad.
Adoraba mi trabajo sobre todo el que era diseñado para niños con condiciones físicas diferentes, afectados de la visión, físico _ motriz y sordos e hipoacúsicos.

No es suficiente un post para relatar aquellas maravillas experiencias, un trabajo que comenzó voluntario, antes del 2004 y aunque ya me llegó la jubilación, no logro desarraigarme de él.
Por mi trayectoria de toda una vida dedicada a Preservar y Promover las Tradiciones Culturales Cubanas, el Centro de Investigación para la Cultura JUAN MARINELLO, me concede el PREMIO NACIONAL MEMORIA VIVA.

Pero más importante que el premio, son los amigos que conservo de esa etapa y que ya siento como familia.
Espero les guste lo que les cuento, del trabajo grupal e individual, en esa época, muy fuerte, para defender nuestra cultura.
