Guau, se nos fue el 2025 y sólo me queda agradecer por todo lo vivido en este maravilloso año y por haber compartido parte de mis conocimientos y de mis trabajos de costura en esta gran comunidad, de antemano les deseo a todos, que pasen un maravilloso feliz Año Nuevo, para finalizar este gran año quiero compartir con ustedes la confección de un lindo vestido, acompáñame y te comparto el paso a paso :

Wow, 2025 is already gone, and all I can do is give thanks for everything I experienced this wonderful year and for having shared some of my knowledge and sewing projects with this great community. I wish you all a wonderful and happy New Year! To wrap up this great year, I want to share with you how to make a beautiful dress. Join me, and I'll share the step-by-step instructions:

La mejor amiga de mi sobrina me preguntó si podía confeccionarle un vestido de un modelo en especial, este consta de una blusa holgada en la parte superior, pero culmina en una falda ajustada, ella me pasó una fotografía y le dije que sí, este modelo nunca lo había hecho, pero me encantan los desafíos, así que manos a la obra, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar:

• 2 m de tela elástica en mi caso, estoy utilizando rib
• Tijeras
• Hilo
• Cinta métrica
• elástico
• Máquina de coser

My niece's best friend asked me if I could make her a dress in a specific style. It has a loose bodice that flows into a fitted skirt. She sent me a picture, and I said yes. I'd never made this style before, but I love a challenge, so let's get started! Here's the list of materials you'll need:

• 2 meters of stretch fabric (I'm using rib knit)
• Scissors
• Thread
• Measuring tape
• elastic
• Sewing machine

La confección de este vestido la comenzaré por la falda, para esto me guiaré con el patrón de un vestido que le hice hace un tiempo a mi sobrina, ya que su amiga es casi su misma talla, marqué sobre mi tela, luego corté la tela, la cual la chica escogió un lindo tono de marrón

I will begin making this dress with the skirt. For this, I will use the pattern of a dress I made for my niece some time ago, since her friend is almost the same size. I marked it on my fabric, then cut the fabric, which the girl chose in a lovely shade of brown.

Para la confección de la blusa, vamos a utilizar el patrón de blusa básico y le adaptamos las medidas, yo tengo un patrón de una blusa parecida a la de este vestido, sólo que es más pequeña, así que me guíe en una combinación de los dos patrones le hice la medida del cuello, ya que este el escote es más amplio, también le dibujé la manga acorde a como es el modelo del vestido, en mis imágenes les muestro las modificaciones y como debe quedar.

To make the blouse, we'll use the basic blouse pattern and adapt the measurements. I have a pattern for a blouse similar to this dress, only smaller, so I used a combination of the two patterns. I took the neck measurement, since this one has a wider neckline, and I also drew the sleeve according to the dress style. In my pictures, I show you the modifications and how it should look.

Ahora vamos a comenzar con las costuras, la falda le pasa costura por los laterales, luego voy con la blusa a esta le voy a cortar tiras de 5 cm de ancho para ponerles sesgo en el escote del cuello luego colocarse las uno por los hombros, y luego por los laterales, las costuras de esta blusa son bastante sencillas luego de coser, vi que me había quedado un poco grande, así que le corté un poco del ruedo, a la falda también le disminuí un poco las medidas ya que como esta tela es bastante elástica, sentí que estaba un poco grande. Por suerte mi sobrina estaba en casa, así que le pedí que se la midiera para tener una idea de cómo le quedaría a su amiga.

Now we're going to start with the sewing. The skirt has side seams. Next, I'll work on the blouse. I'm going to cut 5 cm wide strips to use as bias tape for the neckline. Then I'll attach them to the shoulders and then to the sides. The seams for this blouse are quite simple. After sewing, I saw that it was a little too big, so I shortened the hem. I also reduced the measurements of the skirt a bit because, since this fabric is quite stretchy, I felt it was a little too big. Luckily, my niece was home, so I asked her to try it on her to get an idea of ​​how it would fit her friend.

Luego de tener lista la blusa y la falda vamos a unirlas, para esto vamos a utilizar un elástico de aproximadamente 1 cm de grosor, lo adaptamos a la medida de la falda y luego unimos la blusa, la falda y el elástico, el elástico cumple la función de ajustar la prenda a la cintura y así no se le bajará con facilidad y ayuda al modelo ajustado desde la cintura hacia abajo

Once the blouse and skirt are ready, we'll join them. For this, we'll use an elastic band approximately 1 cm thick. We'll adjust it to the size of the skirt and then join the blouse, the skirt, and the elastic band. The elastic band serves to adjust the garment at the waist so it doesn't slip down easily and helps the style fit snugly from the waist down.

Ahora vamos a cortar los puños de las mangas, estos tendrán un aproximado de ancho de 10 cm y ajustados a la medida de el puño de la chica, el cual es de un aproximado de 8 cm al doble, a la hora de unirlo con costura a la manga del vestido debemos estirarlo bastante para ajustarlo al tamaño de la manga, luego hacemos ruedo en la falda del vestido y así ya está lista está confección de este lindo vestido

Now we're going to cut the sleeve cuffs. These will be approximately 10 cm wide and adjusted to the girl's wrist measurement, which is approximately 8 cm doubled. When sewing them to the dress sleeve, we must stretch them quite a bit to adjust them to the sleeve size. Then we hem the skirt of the dress, and that's it! This lovely dress is finished.

Me gustó mucho el resultado de la confección de este vestido, fue un modelo nuevo para mí y se me hizo bastante fácil, al tener los patrones básicos podemos hacerle modificaciones a nuestro gusto y podemos hacer prendas con un estilo nuevo y original.

I really enjoyed making this dress. It was a new design for me, and I found it quite easy. Having the basic patterns allows us to modify them to our liking and create garments with a new and original style.
