The small town of Rodessa, Louisiana is nestled in the northwest corner of Louisiana. It is about 40 miles north of Shreveport, about 8 miles from where the states of Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas meet.
There isn't a whole lot of activity around town. Alot of oil wells and frogs. The surrounding area is several square miles of bayou and Noah Tyson park, which has a boat launch and picnic area.
According to the last census, the population is 270. One of the interesting things we found was an old cemetery, with stones going back to the 1800's. It was a great history lesson if you are in to that sort of thing.
It is a wonderful scenic route if you are in the area, pastures with plenty of cattle, rolling hills, Bayou, active oil wells, and alot of pine forest. Definitely recommend.
